Each year, Cracker Christmas brings the community together to celebrate Florida pioneer life and the history of Christmas, Florida. What began around 1977 as a small local gathering has grown into the Fort Christmas Historical Society’s largest event at Fort Christmas Historical Park.
Held on the first full weekend in December, this two-day event features live historical demonstrations, handmade crafts, local vendors, food booths, and displays from community organizations. The name “Florida Cracker” comes from the cracking sound of the whips early settlers used while herding cattle.
Supporting Local Groups
We are grateful for the many community members who share their time, support, and knowledge at Fort Christmas Historical Society events. These events also help local organizations raise important funds for their programs.
Groups that benefit include 4-H, FFA, the Women’s Club, Boy Scouts, Orange County Cattlemen’s, the River Boat Association, and many others.

Please include:
· Information about yourself and your products
· Photos of the items you plan to sell
· References from previous shows
· Confirmation that your products meet authenticity standards and are not mass-produced
Vendors are responsible for meeting all legal and setup requirements, including a sales tax permit, the ability to accept multiple payment types, and basic booth supplies such as a table, chairs, and canopy for outdoor shows.
Application Timeline
If selected for the current year, vendors will receive an application by mail during the month of June. Applications are sent first to returning vendors in good standing, followed by any new vendors selected to participate.
Spaces are typically filled by September 1. Vendors who are not selected for the current year will be placed on a waiting list for future opportunities.
